Behind
A mushroom cloud erupts from a crumpled “Thank You” corner-store bag, its billowing form overtaken by a tangle of grasping hands that merge into a single grip, reshaping destruction into a bouquet. Within the bloom, fragmented symbols, cartoon iconography, a Doomsday Mask, and flurries of bats surface and scatter. Rendered with bold contrasts and restless motion, the image collapses spectacle and catastrophe into one gesture, offering a charged reflection on American culture, consumerism, and the polished language that softens the machinery of war.
